Chief Executives
The Leadership Development Centre provides services to Member chief executives, which span the multiple relationships they have with the Centre:
- as employers of senior managers
- as the providers of many of the development experiences required by senior managers
- and as individuals with ongoing needs for development
Nominated Managers
Chief executives from subscribing agencies nominate a group of their senior managers to have direct access to the Leadership Development Centre for services to help them with their personal development.
Although the selection of "nominated" managers is at the chief executive's discretion, nominated managers tend to be senior managers, that is, direct reports to the chief executive in smaller agencies and tier three and some tier four managers in larger agencies.
As current and potential leaders, all Centre services are available to "nominated" senior managers from our Member agencies. Increasingly, services will be tailored and made available to managers in the wider public sector, reflecting the government's intention to take a whole of government view to leadership.
Senior HR Managers and HR Specialists
As key influencers and advisers on developmental strategies and issues, Senior HR Managers and specialists, have access to advice and assistance from the Centre, working in partnership to complement the expertise and needs of each organisation.
