LDC, Level 13, Prime Property Tower, 88 Lambton Quay, Wellington
As New Zealand’s public sector, we need to reflect, understand and value the diversity of the communities we serve. Our advice and services need to be informed by a range of perspectives to enable the fresh thinking and ideas needed to manage the challenges and opportunities facing New Zealand. We need to create an inclusive culture across the public sector.
Come to this interactive session to help you to make sense of diversity and inclusion.
Berlinda is on secondment to the State Services Commission as Strategic Specialist focusing on ethnic communities.
Hailing from Malaysia and now a naturalised New Zealander, Berlinda started her Public Service career with the Office of Ethnic Communities (previously known as Office of Ethnic Affairs) in 2005. She became the Director in January 2014, where she led a team that provided specialist information and advice on the benefits of ethnic diversity within New Zealand to businesses, government and communities.
She is deeply committed to the values and principles of Public Service and brings with her a wide body of knowledge about diversity and inclusion, many connections and practical leadership experience.
Last year, Berlinda was nominated for the Women of Influence 2017 Award, Diversity category.
