On behalf of Head of Public Service, the Leadership Development Centre coordinates agency nominations for the ANZSOG Executive Fellows Programme and the Executive Master of Public Administration. 

Nominations for both programmes require chief executive endorsement and then get approval from the Office of the Commissioner, Public Service Commission.

Executive Fellows Programme (EFP)

The EFP is designed exclusively for senior public sector executives. Participants will be challenged with new leadership perspectives in a highly interactive setting, while exploring contemporary issues, such as the post-COVID environment, social movements, civil unrest, and preparedness amidst the global spectre of war.

The first cohort for EFP in 2023 is now underway with a second face to face cohort scheduled for 6 to 17 November 2023 (venues TBC in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand).Expressions of interest for this cohort will open 3 July and close 29 September 2023.

Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA)

The EMPA is a 2-year, part-time postgraduate qualification for emerging and ambitious public sector leaders, starting February 2024. EMPA is delivered in 8 blended learning modules and 3 university elective modules, providing a multidisciplinary curriculum tailored for today’s public service.

Expressions of interest will open 3 July and close 29 September 2023.
