Applications are now open for the 2026 Ria McBride Public Service Award to support a woman working in the New Zealand Public Service to progress their career through tertiary study.

The award offers up to $15,000 in funding and recognises a woman who shows leadership potential and determination, particularly if they have not previously had the opportunity to complete formal study. Applications close on 15 May 2026, with the recipient announced in June.

The Ria McBride Public Service Award is sponsored by Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission and is administered by the Leadership Development Centre.
