The Government Digital Delivery Agency (GDDA) and the Leadership Development Centre (LDC) are working together to deliver an artificial intelligence (AI) programme that builds safe and practical AI capability.

The programme consists of learning for all public servants, including:

·        a cohort-based online AI Development Programme

·        an AI Development Series of self-paced online learning resources

·        sessions for chief executives and senior system leaders.

The first cohort of the online AI development programme starts in May with the self-paced online AI development series available shortly after. Senior system leader sessions are expected to start before the end of June.

Expressions of interest for the AI development programme starting 18 May are now open. Learn more and register on the AI Development Programme page

Note on 23 April 2026 we removed the AI learning resources previously hosted on this page. These resources will be superseded by the AI Development Series coming soon. If you have any questions about this, email corecapability@publicservice.govt.nz
