Ruth has been practicing in organisational and people development since 2002.  She has 13 years’ experience coaching leaders and team members in various cultural contexts. In this time she has been the director of a private practice which has included working with several public service organisations.

Ruth’s coaching style seeks to determine what coachees want from the process and how she can help them to work towards their goals.  With a confidential and non-judgemental approach, she works to gain buy-in from the coachee from the outset of an engagement.

Ruth helps her clients to get to the heart of the matter, and challenges them to look past limiting thought patterns, towards possibilities and actions they can take to make change.  She provides reassurance and empathy for specific challenges, and validates emotions, allowing the coachee to move forward. She communicates to clients the limits of her expertise and has a network of other specialists to refer clients to if and when required.

Clients value Ruth’s insights and best practice tools for progress towards their goals.  They also appreciate her post-session emails summarising key points discussed and actions for the coachee to follow up on.

Ruth has an Master of Science Hons (Psychology), Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Clinical Psych) and Postgraduate Diploma Industrial/Organisational Psychology.
