Peer Learning
Important: If you would like to use this toolkit and engage in peer learning as a tool for development, we strongly recommend seeking support from your HR department or a certified coach / facilitator. This will help ensure the process is well-structured, used appropriately, and guided in a way that creates a productive and respectful learning environment.
Peer learning processes might sit inside a leadership development programme, or be on offer within your organisation in a formal or informal way.
Peer learning helps you to:
- hone the skills and practices of self-reflection, listening and asking powerful questions.
- help gain self-awareness into leadership challenges.
- gain new perspectives on aspects of your leadership.
- bring a greater sense of accountability.
- role model a growth mindset to help establish a learning culture in your team.
- grow your leadership networks and connections.
This toolkit is for all leaders from those new in a leadership role through to those who are more experienced. It offers a basic overview of peer learning as a process, how to set up for success, and includes many practical tools such as agendas and checklists to ensure ongoing success.
After you have completed a toolkit, we would appreciate any feedback via our Toolkit Evaluation Form.
