Our in-depth learning resources support public servants understanding of Te Tauākī Whanonga mō te Rāngai Tūmatanui | The Code of Conduct for the Public Sector (the Code).

Miriam an illustrated character who stands with a hand on her chin thinking. Kia ora, I’m Miriam.

When I first came across the Code, it felt like something you read during induction and move on from.

Now that I have been in the public sector for a while, I've seen lots of situations where my colleagues and I have relied on integrity, particularly political neutrality. It's tricky to work out what is okay for public servants and what we need to be careful of, especially around elections!

The Code isn’t just a set of rules. It’s what protects public trust and confidence in the work we do.
